Communities & Platforms
A community needs a place of its own. As long as members, customers or participants are organised through chat groups, mailing lists and spreadsheets, everything depends on individual people, and nobody can reliably see who belongs and what applies. A platform of your own puts this in order: who may sign in, who sees what, who moderates and who pays for what. We build such platforms for browser and app — on your rules and under your name.
- chat groups and mailing lists
- member lists in spreadsheets
- registrations by form or phone
- fees and invoices by hand
- content spread across several channels
- a protected members' area
- roles and permissions
- moderation with clear rules
- memberships and payment
- browser and app on the same data
We build platforms on which a community signs in, exchanges and organises itself — with clear roles, rules for moderation and, where needed, paid memberships.
How to tell that this is about you.
If more than two of these sentences sound familiar, a conversation is worthwhile.
What a project in this area looks like.
Not a fixed template, but the order in which the decisions are made. Reverse that order and you pay for it later.
- 01
Who belongs
The first thing settled is who may sign in, how someone becomes a member and how a membership ends. Everything else depends on it.
- 02
Roles and permissions
Member, moderator, administrator, provider: who may see, write and approve what is settled before the first screen is built, and enforced at the data layer, not only in the interface.
- 03
Moderation with rules
Where members post content themselves, there need to be rules, a reporting function and people who decide. The platform gives them the tools for it; the decision stays with them.
- 04
Memberships and payment
Where memberships or offers cost money, a payment provider is connected. It handles the payment; the platform learns who has paid and grants access accordingly.
- 05
Browser and app
The platform runs in the browser. Where members mainly use it on the move, an app is added that works on the same data.
The capabilities that come together here.
Which of them are used follows from the process — not the other way round.
What is explicitly not included.
A boundary you only learn about in conversation costs both sides time.
- No open social network for everyone, but a platform for one particular community
- No platform without named people on your side who moderate and decide
- No payment processing of our own: payment runs through a connected payment provider
The questions we will ask.
So you know where it is heading — and whether you already have the answers today.
- Who belongs to your community, and how does someone become a member?
- Where does the exchange happen today, and what gets lost along the way?
- Who moderates, and by which rules?
- Does a membership or an offer cost anything, and how is that billed today?
You cannot buy this ready-made. What gets built follows the way your company works.
